I'm Leaving Substack.

Sadly, this is a Goodbye letter

It took me too long to write this, but this is it. THIS IS THE END.

Dear Reader,

“I promise you that the headline is not a joke, neither is it a prank or an attempt at sarcasm aimed at generating publicity for this mail.

Truly, I’M LEAVING SUBSTACK,

and this is the hardest thing i have ever done in my entire life😔😔

I have a huge problem saying goodbye to you, my loyal student, after all the laughs and tears we have shared and wise words you have learned from me in this 3 month-ish journey.

In fact, It took me 2 weeks to find the easiest way to break the sad news to you, as far as consulting chat-gpt to cook up a goodbye story (images down below)

I guess that doesn't quite cut it, but that is why I am writing this goodbye letter with tears pouring from my eyes😢😭

The ride was fun while it lasted. Goodbye my dear read-”

AH!!

Finally I'm back😅. Sorry for that interruption, a maniac took control of my my phone and typed a spiritless farewell address that didn't sound one bit like me (e.g who starts a mail with “Dear reader”? definitely not me😤😤)

I mean,

DID YOU REALLY THINK I WOULD ABANDON THIS NEWSLETTER I POUR ALL MY HEART AND SOUL INTO WRITING OR YOU, MY LOYAL DIVERS😒😒

Well if you did, you were partially right. I'm really leaving substack, but not forever. I'm just taking some time off for an extended period of time.

That means that sadly, you won't be seeing any mails from Adu any time soon.

There are several reasons for me taking this decision, from the stress of resuming 300level, to the overloading responsibilities I have undertaken, but the only one that matters is something very essential- PURPOSE.

When I started “Deep Dive With Adu”, all I had in mind was just an avenue to express myself, but lately I've been thinking, and I've been getting the urge to define the direction of these weekly mails as well as be more consistent with the content, date and time they will be dropping.

Now that i write this, abandon is too strong word to describe my self- awarded leave, but think of it as your master diver going on a purpose-discovery trip to find better ways to serve you without saying how long he is going to be gone.
